Like, I’m imaging Zelda’s used to Link pre botw being her silent and trusty shadow so there’s a bit of an adjustment period where she realizes oh he has brain damage and most of his memories are gone (he’s got some important ones back but his head is still a little empty) and now his personality is a little different so now he’ll wander away if he happens to see something that catches his eye and like. He’s not leaving Zelda to fend for herself, but if he disappears from her line of sight she gets frantic bc she knows he’s putting something in his mouth that shouldn’t be there ans she can’t even write it down for science
